Get away from it all when you stay under the stars! Stylish and modern two bed one bath small house in Avellanas. The finishing touches make it very special, with wooden carved whale door handles, and large murals of whales outside the home. Restaurants, shops within 300m; One of the best surf beaches, Playa Avellanas, is just under 1 km away. There's a long front deck for sitting out and A/C, TV, full kitchen inside. Washing machine on premises, WIFI is great! 1 queen and 2 single bunk beds.
The space
The property has three small homes on it for rent and a beautiful garden, also safe parking for your car. There is a caretaker who lives on the property as well, to help with any issues or concerns right away.

We are 'in nature' , very peaceful - most roads are still dirt roads and while they have very much improved in the last years they can be slippery and muddy in rainy season. While foliage is beautiful and green in rainy season (May through October) it gets dry and more brownish in dry season (November through April).
We are on a side road, so it doesn't get as dusty as some other places in dry season.
Howler monkeys are frequently around, as well as 'the neighbors' cows and horses' that walk by occasionally (seriously!)- so are beautiful birds; sometimes you can even snatch the sight - and sound!- of our beautiful Costa Rican macaws and other parrots.
The area is safe to walk, even after dark, but please be aware that there are not many street lights- again, we are very much in nature.
Our property is beautifully lit at nighttime, so easy to 'find'.
La Esquina- a beautiful meeting place with shops, restaurants and events like live music is only a 10 min walk away- so you do not need your car all the time.
A lot of our guests are surfers who enjoy famous surf beach Playa Avellanas- they mostly walk down to the beach, about 15-20 min. Our Ballenas each have outdoor showers to rinse off sand etc before entering the home if you so desire.
There is a washer and spinner on the premises for our guests to use.
