Summary: Everything advertised about Casa Corazon del Mar was 100% accurate—in fact it was better than advertised. John was a wonderful host…greeted us upon arrival, made sure we had dinner reservations in town for our first night in Puerto Viejo, and even had a bottle of champaign waiting for us knowing that the trip was an anniversary celebration for us. The house was beautiful, and the gardens were truly magical. You truly are close to nature in this house! We almost did not want to leave to visit the beaches because we so enjoyed sitting in the observation deck listening to the sounds of the jungle. We genuinely enjoyed watching the various species of birds, frogs, geckos and the eight bats that live way up in the observation deck! We were even fortunate enough to experience a close-up visit from the howler monkeys and the sloths that live in the area. The visit to Casa Corazon del Mar and the area around Puerto Viejo was wonderful—should be on everyone’s bucket list.
