Positive: modern house in lovely elevated country location peaceful and quiet great hosts who provided grill for outdoor cooking when we asked as well as some interesting and informative conversation

Negative: No AC (and we were ok without it) but floor or ceiling fan would be useful for those days when no breeze and house heats up. Gas BBQ would also be a good addition for the nice patio out back. House is somewhat sheltered at a lower elevation than main house so this diminishes some of the natural breeze to cool the house but also obscures the view of the ocean/Puntarenas off in the distance. GPS location which takes you to Miramar is NOT correct. It was extremely irritating to get there and arrive at a stranger’s home in Miramar who was as surprised as we were! Either Booking.com or the hosts or both need to correct this. Also, last km to the house along gravel road is extremely rough.

Summary: Very happy with our stay at Butterfly. Good location for visiting Monteverde and surrounding areas.
