The Deer Harbor Inn is a five-acre property, frequented by bald eagles and deer and surrounded by apple orchards, on the serene west side of Orcas Island. You'll be an easy eight-mile drive from the island's ferry terminal, where you can board regular sailings to Anacortes, Friday Harbor, Lopez Island, and Shaw Island. Within walking distance, you'll find the on-site Deer Harbor Restaurant, a public beach, a kayaking park, the Deer Harbor Marina, and several whale-watching trails. If you're interested in exploring the island's many beauties, head two miles north to hike Turtleback Mountain, pop in and out of the shops in downtown Eastsound 10 miles northeast, and admire the incredible view from the summit of Mt. Constitution in Moran State Park 14 miles east.
